CARIBTRANS, INC. a Miami, Florida based freight consolidator (NVOCC), has announced that
commencing November 1st, 1999 they will be offering weekly service from the USA to St.
Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. The announcement was made by Caribtrans President, Manny Sola,
who said "we have looked at serving St. Thomas for years, however like everything else
that we do, unless we can do it right at origin and destination and become #1 in terms of
customer satisfaction, we are prepared to wait for the perfect time and circumstances."
"We are confident that we now have that and more, in place in St. Thomas", said Sola.
Caribtrans will be serving St. Thomas through a partnership arrangement with Deliver It,
Inc. of St. Thomas. Deliver It, Inc. has been established on St. Thomas since 1978 and is
headed by Ken Huskey a native of East St. Louis Illinois and has lived in St. Thomas
since 1968. Mr. Sola added "Deliver It, Inc. has the most professional operation on St.
Thomas, they will be unloading our LCL containers at their own private off-pier Custom?s
Bonded Warehouse. Their complete operation and staff, under the direction of Ken Huskey
is strictly first class." Mr. Huskey of Deliver It, Inc. added, "I?m very impressed with
the way Caribtrans has developed. They have an infrastructure of personnel, equipment
and computer systems in place that are second to none. I am excited about becoming a
part of their progressive team."
